Innovation & digital solutions

Innovation is not a department. It is the discipline of noticing what could be different.

AJAI enters a business without assuming in advance what the solution will be. We look for the opportunity or the constraint, define the intervention, and — where it helps — build it.

Creativity

Creativity identifies the possibility. Strategy tests it. Execution makes it real.

Creativity, in a business context, is the capacity to see possibilities that are not immediately obvious and turn them into viable solutions. It is not decoration, and it is not the same thing as design. It is what allows a consultant to arrive at an answer the organisation had not already considered.

Where we start

Business challenges, and what we do about them

Websites, applications, automation and digital systems are possible outputs of this process — not the starting assumption.

Something is working, but not well enough

We look at how work actually moves through the organisation — where it stalls, where it doubles back, where people compensate for a system that does not fit. Then we redesign the process, and automate the parts that should never have needed a person.

  • Workflow automation

Customers are being lost somewhere you cannot see

We identify where customer journeys or internal processes create friction, then design and build the solution that removes it — which may be a booking flow, a portal, a change in how enquiries are handled, or something else entirely.

  • Digital customer experience
  • Customer portals
  • Booking systems

There is an opportunity, but no plan for it

An idea, a market observation, a capability the business already has but has not commercialised. We test the possibility against commercial reality, then define what would have to be true for it to work.

  • Opportunity identification
  • Business model innovation
  • Digital strategy

The business needs a system nobody sells

When off-the-shelf software does not match how the organisation works, we design and build the application around the business objective rather than around a template.

  • Bespoke business applications
  • Internal systems
  • MVP development
  • Rapid prototyping

Work is repetitive, manual and expensive

We look for the tasks that consume attention without creating value, and apply automation or AI-assisted tooling where it genuinely holds up in day-to-day use.

  • AI-assisted solutions
  • Operational innovation

A decision needs evidence

Market, competitive and business research aimed at a specific decision, presented as a conclusion you can act on rather than a document you have to interpret.

Co-Founder | Innovation & Business Strategy

Augusto's principal strength is creative problem-solving and the ability to identify opportunities for innovation across different sectors. He founded and spent more than a decade building a pioneering vegan distribution business in Brazil, which contributed to dramatically expanding the distribution and availability of vegan products across the Brazilian market.

His background spans entrepreneurship, business ownership, strategy, management, finance, operations, training and organisational development — including the practical work of reducing friction between teams and helping people adopt new ways of working. Technology is a tool he uses to implement solutions, not the service itself.

Working with businesses in Warrington, Cheshire, Manchester and across the UK

Innovation work is done in person where it helps and remotely where it does not. Most engagements combine both.
